Gilder's Cushions

Loose leaf gold can be cut on a pad or Gilder’s cushion which is fitted with a windshield to protect the leaf from drafts. Handover’s supply two qualities of cushion – standard and professional, the latter being made with a parchment windshield to which the gold is less likely to stick.
