By browsing and purchasing items from this website you are automatically agreeing to the terms and conditions of the site as set out below. We therefore recommend that you read through these and contact us if you have any concerns regarding its content. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions use of our website is not permitted.
Use of the Website
When registering as a customer and logging in you must ensure that all the information you provide is true and accurate and as complete as possible. You agree not to use a false name or register as someone else without that person’s prior knowledge and permission.

A.S.Handover Ltd. reserves the right to modify or withdraw (both temporarily or permanently) any amount of the website with or without prior warning.
If modifications are made without prior notification to our customers, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they are aware of such changes, and by continuing to purchase affected goods you are expressing your acceptance of these changes. If you do not agree to any change to the conditions then you must immediately stop using the website and contact us.
Suitability for use
Whilst Handover's take good care to maintain the highest of standards of quality in their products, it is however the customers responsibility to ensure that the goods purchased are suitable for their particular requirements and that the goods arrive in an acceptable condition. Many of our products are made from natural substances whose behaviour can vary in different environments. Their structure can also vary according to the process used in their assembly. Handover's strive to maintain consistency and continuity in these matters and in no circumstances will entertain claims for the value of work alleged to have been adversely affected by use of any our products which prove to be unsatisfactory to the user. Our liability is therefore confined to the value of the goods alone.
All personal information entered into our website when an order is made is treated in the strictest confidence, with certain exceptions as set out below. All your information will be retained on a secure server purely for use in relation to the processing of your order.
When you make an order on the A.S.Handover Ltd. website, we will ask you for your:
- Address (Billing and Delivery)
- Contact Telephone Number
- Email Address
- Card Payment details
- Any delivery instructions
Any personal information is held confidentially. We will only use your information for the following purposes:
- To process an order.
- To administer the website.
- With consent, to inform you of any products or special offers that may be of interest to you, via our email newsletter.
If you do not wish to receive our email newsletter, please ensure that you have informed us by making sure that the appropriate box is unchecked as you go through the check out stages. If you change your mind please let us know by sending a blank email with the subject header ‘REMOVE’ to email@example.com
Please Note: your personal information may be disclosed to other businesses and to reputable third parties to help process your order (e.g. our suppliers). A.S.Handover Ltd. requires all such third parties to treat your personal information as we do, i.e. in the strictest confidence and to comply with all applicable UK Data Protection guidelines. Such third party organisations are strictly forbidden to disclose your information to others under any circumstances, and A.S.Handover Ltd. promise not to release your personal information to any external organisations for mailing or marketing purposes.
You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your personal information and/or user information, we are entitled to do so.
Cookies and server sessions are used on this shopping site but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item. We do not at present leave any cookies on your computer.
Contract Creation and electronic contracting
The technical steps required to create the contract between you and us are as follows:
- You place the order for your products on the Website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the Website.
- Order acceptance, payment processing and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have changed or cancelled the order by contacting us within 24 hours of placing the order.
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock.
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error.
- You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions.
All correspondence throughout the order process will be conducted in english.
Back Orders and Special order items
If your item is not in stock, we will attempt to contact you. Your order may be delayed for up to 48hrs if we are expecting a delivery of the goods to our warehouse. Alternatively, if you wish, the out of stock item will be sent on at a later date, or you may choose an alternative item or it can be cancelled from your order.
Some items listed on our website are marked as ‘special order’ items and such products are not kept at our warehouse/s. If you choose to purchase one of these items there is likely to be a delay on your whole order until the special order item has arrived from our suppliers.
If you are looking for an item produced by a manufacturer that supplies other products that are for sale on our website, please get in touch as we may be able to special order the item in for you.
Credit/Debit Card Payment
We accept the following credit and debit cards as payment:
We do not accept American Express.
Payment is not processed until the order is ready for dispatch. If your order is split and sent in 2 shipments because we are out of stock of something, you are not charged for the second shipment until we send it. If you are shopping from outside of the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. All transactions will be charged in pounds sterling and will be converted at the then current applicable exchange rate by your credit card company.
Orders by Post
If you wish to pay by cheque you will need to send your order in by post. Please make the cheque out to A.S.Handover Ltd.. The processing time will be delayed by however long it takes for the order to reach us. Alternatively you can phone or email the order through and we will issue you with an order reference number once the order is on our computerized system. We will ask you to write the order reference number on the back of your cheque.

Value Added Tax at a rate of 20% is added to all orders within the EU. For customers outside of the EU VAT will not be added.
When taking goods out of the UK that were purchased for use outside the UK and if the goods leave the country within three months of the purchase, you can claim back the VAT you paid. You pay the VAT, fill out a form you request from us, take the goods through customs at the airport, they inspect the goods and post us back the form. It can take up to three months for them to process the paperwork and send it to us. When we receive the form from them we will refund the VAT. We now charge a £5.00 administration fee for the paperwork for this service. If this pertains to you please ask about this at the time you place an order.
We are happy to issue credit notes or refunds for any items with proof of purchase from A.S.Handover Ltd. that are returned in a saleable condition within 28 days of the receipt of your order. The return of such items is the full responsibility of the customer, and the goods must be securely packaged to ensure that they arrive back to us undamaged. Short-falls or order errors should be registered within 7 days.
We offer discounts for large orders. This is on a case-by-case basis. Colleges, art groups and professional artists often take advantage of this policy.
Descriptions of Products
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted in accordance with our Order acceptance policy.
