Rabbit skin glue is a traditional glue that can be used for sizing canvas prior to oil priming and as an adhesive for gilding and woodwork. It is recommended to prepare the glue by dissolving in water just short of boiling point (60-63°C). It is also often used in the preparation of gesso and as a sealant.
