Applicraft : Crackleglaze Decorative Crack Paint Effect : Water Based : 100 ml

Applicraft Crackle Glaze is used to create a weathered or peeling paint effect. This water-based glaze should be sandwiched between two coats of paint, causing the top layer to crack and peel away to reveal the bottom coat. Suitable for use with emulsion paint, the Crackle Glaze is ideal for decorating trays, boxes, frames and furniture. When using this product please note that the base coat will be visible through the cracks in the finished so choose the colours accordingly.

Crackle Glaze can be applied to any clean, painted surface. The topcoat should be a water-based paint with a very loose consistency. After applying one or two coats of the base colour and allowing it to dry completely, the Crackle Glaze can be applied. Wait for at least 20 minutes and when the surface is touch dry or slightly tacky the final coat of paint can be applied. The paint should be brushed lightly in one direction only. Do not brush the same over any area twice or the crackle effect will not occur.
