British Letterheads feature in Sign Business Magazine, March 1995

We recently came across this article in a 1995 issue of Sign Business Magazine; the article details an early British Letterheads meet in Torquay, South Devon - spot the familiar faces! 'Still in it's infancy, the British Letterhead movement has yet to experience the exponential growth witnessed in America, but the enthusiasm for the art is definitely there. The letterhead ideal was imported by Waco, Texas, sign artist John Oldham in 1993, and the latest British meet was held in November in Torquay, South Devon, England. Dubbed The Great British Seaside Extravaganza and hosted by locals Dave Smith and Leigh Morton, the event drew some 25 sign artists from the British Isles to exchange panels and ideas. "It's a bit slow getting going," says Oldham, "they're not into the Letterheads like we are yet."' [gallery columns="1" link="none" size="full" ids="1085,1086,1087,1088,1089,1090,1091"]
