Tactile Collective
Founded in 2017, Tactile is a collaborative project between lettering pros and Alphabetics Anonymous members Jake Tyler & Hana Sunny Whaler. The annual event is entering its fourth year and is returning to its original concept of a social space with DIY fun.

“LAUNCH PARTY – Starting on May 24th 6pm with a party to launch the Tactile exhibition. There will be a gift shop, raffle, and the first opportunity to view, commission & purchase from the exhibition of Tactile letter tiles.
LIVE WINDOW PAINTING – Wednesday 25th from 11am
Two more @alphabeticsanonymous legends @miawarnersignpainter and @greateropacity will be live painting window splashes at the pop up space!
TACTILE LETTER TILE EXHIBITION & GIFT SHOP – Open everyday 24th-29th May.Tactile letter tile exhibition, with all tiles available to buy ‘off the shelf’ or painted ‘on commission’ from the pop up open studio.
– Limited edition prints, hand-painted signs for your business or home, & Tactile merch
– World Exclusive: Hot off the press first editions of @betterletters Blag Magazine available to buy!
DEMO DAY – Friday 27th from 9am
A range of live demonstrations on various signwriting techniques, from Tactile and friends:
– 9am-11am: Brush lettering with @tylerandco_ and @hanasunnystudio
– 12pm-1pm: Chalkboard speed illustrations with @muchamuckle
– 2pm-3pm: Canal boat roses with @signsbyjorge
– 4pm-6pm: Advanced glass gilding techniques with @irregularsigns
(Free but donations welcome. Note these are not workshops, they are demonstrations. Attendees will not be given the opportunity to paint. Max. 2 demos per person. Limited availability, places must be booked in advance via eventbrite)
TACTILE TV – For those who can’t make it to the show, all week there will content shared via instagram stories and even popping onto IG live, to bring you a slice of the action so be sure to follow Tactile!
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Open doors all week, all welcome. Spreading the letter love and inviting everyone to come down to Brockley and enjoy some hand painted goodness. “
