As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact, we are introducing an important change to the materials used in our paint kettles.
Over recent months, we have gradually transitioned our own-brand products — including chipping glue and whiting — from traditional virgin plastic kettles to kettles manufactured using 100% recycled plastic.
During this transition period, both the original white kettles and the new black recycled-plastic versions will remain available to purchase and use. We appreciate that some customers may prefer the white kettles, particularly when mixing paints, as the darker colour of the recycled versions can make it more difficult to distinguish subtle tones.
Despite this visual difference, the new kettles continue to meet the same standards for durability, strength, and performance that our customers expect.
By switching to recycled plastic, we are helping to reduce plastic waste, minimise reliance on raw materials, and lower the demand for the chemicals required to manufacture new plastic. It is a small but meaningful step towards more sustainable manufacturing practices and supporting a circular economy.
We understand that changes like this can take some adjustment, and we are committed to supporting our customers throughout the transition. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We appreciate your continued support as we take this positive step towards improving our environmental responsibility.
