INFORMATION
Shell gold, named so because historically it was made and stored in seashells, is a block made from finely ground gold powder blended with gum arabic. It is used in the same way as a watercolour pan and should be applied using a soft hair brush. The dried shell gold will have a matte finish, which can be polished using a burnisher to give a brighter shine.
