The Goldfather Burnishing Pad

After the gold has set, use the pad to gently brush away the excess gold leaf. Frequently shake out the gold residue to avoid scratching the gilded area. The black micro-velvet makes it easy to see the gold residue on its surface. Once the gold has been removed, the pad can be used to lightly polish the gold.

The gold removal pad is primarily designed to be used when gilding on glass, but it can also be used to lightly burnish gold that has been water gilded with gesso and clay bole.

The pad features a strap which makes it easy to hold. The strap can be moved to the other side of the pad, allowing both sides to be used.
