Our ox hair wash brushes were made with exactly this in mind. Ox hair is a natural choice for this kind of work – it sits between sable and pony hair in terms of quality and character, with enough spring to give you control and enough softness to lay colour down smoothly and evenly. The full, rounded head holds a large amount of colour, so you can cover ground quickly without constantly returning to the palette.

Set in seamless nickel-plated ferrules on black polished handles – the same construction you’ll find across our professional brush ranges — they are available in four sizes from size 10 through to size 16. The difference in scale between the smallest and largest is quite dramatic, so whatever scale of work you’re tackling there’s a brush to match.
